What is Día de los Muertos?

Día de los Muertos, (The Day of the Dead), is a celebration, which represents the merging of an ancient Aztec celebration with Catholicism. The tradition grew from the belief that the souls of the dead return each year to visit with and be entertained by their loved ones.  Many of the traditions are consistent with All Souls and All Saints Day.  It is a day of celebration.
